INCREDIBLE STORY OF U.S. HISTORY! However, BOTH discs quit working while playing. The actual movie stopped with SIXTEEN AND A HALF MINUTES REMAINING! I was able to finish watching it elsewhere but not the bonus disc, and I am going to make…

I have always felt this is one of the best duos on screen. Fabulous script from Goldberg and amazing realistic timing and delivery from both Hoffman and Redford. Loved the flubs that are left in and are completely normal human…

Veddy, veddy, veddy good movie! I say anybody (like that Trump!) who doesn't like the press is afraid they'll do the same to them as "they" did to Nixon!!! --chris b. Stratton

This explains how news media was "tool" to change politics; probably similar to current politics US president does not want the power of the "paper" to do same to him. Must watch to see how all aspects are instrumental to "down fall of bad…

This is a 2-disc set. The second disc is 30+ years later. Great discussion on how journalism has changed due to social media mobs running amok. I found this more interesting than the film.

Amazing movie. Brilliantly acted, scored, and shot. Even knowing the ending, this is suspense at its finest. Should be more talked about as one of the big essential classics of the New Hollywood period.

Directed by Alan J. Pakula in 1976 based on the 1974 non-fiction book of the same name by Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward, this American political thriller delves into the Watergate scandal, which brought down the presidency of Richard M.…

If only modern news media were as careful as these folks. This is a classic where two reporters under the tutelage and watchful eye of their editor piece together Watergate.

“All the President’s Men,” is the Academy Award-winning film from 1976 that stars Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman. This superb movie is based on the book of the same name written by Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward and Carl…

I was curious to see this movie after watching the post in the theater. compelling (appallingly true) story and acting, loved the low tech newsroom, corduroy suits, and other small details.

This film stands as proof of the need for accountability and how it is part of the role of journalists in society to question authority, find and protect trustworthy sources, and seek the truth. ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN stands out for…

With all the nonsense happening these days in politics, had an urge to watch this classic again. Still a great movie with an important lesson about democracy. Added bonus-- watching people type (miss that sound) and dial phones. Wonder…

Based on Woodward and Bernstein’s subsequent book, Alan J. Pakula’s film is both a taut newspaper procedural and a damning indictment of the lengths politicians will go in order to stay in power. Utilizing harsh fluorescent lighting,…

Dustin Hoffman and Robert Redford playing New York Times Reporters at the time of the Watergate break in. They play it as a team looking for clues and they find some. Now it gets interesting because big people do not want the truth to…

Enjoyed Redford's Farrah Fawcett hairstyle and the lawless smoking that went on in the computerless newsroom. Quite the complicated story but well acted out. I liked how unconvential they were in their methods of gathering clues to figure…

Having not lived during the 70s, and since my high school history class ended at World War II, when I hear "Watergate" I immediately think about an illegal break-in involving Nixon, but sadly that is the extent of my knowledge. This film…

I know this movie was made almost forty years ago (yow, the seventies were that long ago??) but what a nice change of pace to watch in this day and age where too many movies are overwhelmed by music score and underwhelmed by great acting. …

The dialogue is of the mid-70s style – meaning “not all that damn much” – which bring a fair bit of realism to the matter, yet is still sufficient to support the narrative. The events of the time play out on TV screens in the newsroom…

Fair. The acting was pretty good and the film really gave a great insight of how Nixon was brought down, but it wasn't particularly engaging or well put together.
