Add a CommentThis is the best book about financial planning (investing, wills, emergency funds, credit card use, taxes, etc.) that I have ever read. It's aimed at Canadians, and I ended up buying it. You should too!
Fairly basic content. Nothing really ground breaking but a good read and I picked up a few good tips.
Laugh-out-loud funny at times, Chilton presents mostly basic personal finance concepts.
One of the funniest financial books that I've ever read. Enjoyed the lighthearted style with regard to this topic.
Okay, I don't know Dave, but sure loved his first book! It whetted my appetite for many more personal finance books from which our family developed our own financial plan. Happy to read Returns for reinforcement of the first message, if nothing else, and to see if there were any changes in advice gleaned over time and experience. A good read.
Sage long term advice to help steer youself in the right directions.
No new information compare to the previous and not as good as the first Wealthy barber, very boring read, practically unreadable in some places.
Advice is non-existent and difficult to follow.
Skipped through a lot of the chapters since most of the information has already been covered ad nauseam in other publications. If you've already read other books on personal finance and investing, you can easily skip most of the book and head to the 2nd part where he provides information/advice on EFTs', RRSP and TSFAs.
This books is seriously lacking.
There is no useful financial advise in this book just lots of venting about how the "average" person handles their finances and lots of dry humor.
Where is the concrete financial advise?
Just finished reading the wealthy barber returns. I believe it should be required reading in all highschools. I have 3 adult children who are just starting out in life and I have gone out and bought them each a copy (hopefully they will read it). My wife ur old school about our finances and it was heartening to know that Dave Chilton is on our side. Great read...another bestseller
