Suzze, who is eight months pregnant, asks their agent, Myron Bolitar, to save her marriage—and perhaps her husband's life. But when Myron finds Lex, he also finds someone he wasn't looking for: his sister-in-law, Kitty, who, along with Myron's brother, abandoned the Bolitar family long ago.
As Myron races to locate his missing brother while their father clings to life, he must face the lies that led to the estrangement—including the ones told by Myron himself....

I'm on my second trip through the series. The dialog is great, a la Robert Parker. Highly recommended!

Be sure to check out Coben's other "stand alone" novels.

Coben interweaves the lives of his characters into an excellent mystery. Myron and Win do the digging to distinguish truth from lies. Worth reading as is the case with most of this author's books.

This series is good. I hated jumping to the end on this series. Now I am in the process of back tracking which I do not care to do, but for this author I will make an exception. The exchange between Will and Myron is whitty and hilarious. Good book. Hope all enjoy, because I did.

Entertaining if somewhat loose narrative with decent dialogue. Author moves the story along inserting quirky plot twists, and draws interesting characters.

I smell a B movie here - but will watch for subsequent offrings from Coben.

I really liked the book. He is one author that I can't figure out who did it, because he got twists in the books. I am glad that there is another installment of " Mickey" to happen in Shelter and that shall be good too. I like Win and how he is always a mile ahead of the game..

For people who have already read that book, what age group do you think this series would be approite for? young adult or a adult?

I said I couldn't put down "The Help". This one I couldn't put down more!
Is the author trying to end this series??! Not for the first time, the ending makes you think "wait a minute, how's our adventures going to continue after that?" Up until the ending, however, it was totally enjoyable.

I thought it was okay but definitely not one of Coben's best

I was really looking forward to this book as it's been awhile & I've always been a huge fan of the gang. However, this is very different than the rest of the series. Characters in a series like this age & their lives change as they should. But gone are the scenes & wit that made me laugh out loud as I read. I agree with the Booklist review.
Myron is facing alot of personal issues & feels the weight of responsibility for so many others. This is a much more sombre, sad & reflective Myron. Even Win seems a little tired (three pages of lame "Mee & Yu" jokes). The story is slow in places with Myron being deeply introspective. Perhaps if I hadn't read the others I would have enjoyed it more. Anyhoo, there are big changes in store for the whole gang if there is a follow-up.
