An Anthology of Canadian Hockey Poetry
May 14, 2013ReidCooper rated this title 4 out of 5 stars
Despite the description, this is not the first collection of Canadian poems about hockey, but it _is_ the best I've read. Ondaatje's "To A Sad Daughter" Al Purdy's classic "Hockey Player" and Nils Clausson's "Breakaway Sonnet" are all here, along the lyrics to The Arrogant Worms' "Me Like Hockey". Well worth reading for any hockey fan!
