Highway of Tears
Highway of Tears A True Story of Racism, Indifference and the Pursuit of Justice of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls By McDiarmid, Jessica Book - 2019

A disheartening look at the disappearance and murder of girls and women along Highway 16 in British Columbia, the majority of whom are Indigenous. The author does a decent job of discussing and dissecting individual cases, and includes the families and law enforcement's perspectives and experiences. She also highlights the efforts made by the victim's families, politicians, Indigenous leaders and law enforcement to remedy this heartbreaking issue.
