New Basics for the Modern Quiltmaker : 12 Quilt Projects

This book is just as the title describes it. The first 40 pages give an overview of fabric, sewing supplies, and the quilting process with tips and photographs sprinkled throughout. I loved her tip about using organizer cards during the quilt process! The quilt projects are divided across three categories: Getting Started, Confident Beginner, and Intermediate - which makes this a great book to grow with, as you increase your skills and confidence. Several of the quilts would work great with fabric scraps. With each pattern she includes at least 3 different color schemes to illustrate how the same quilt can take on a completely different look when you change the fabric. Highly recommended.
