Bros Before Shows: the films of the Kendrick Brothers

The Kendrick Brothers, Alex and Stephen, are an inspiration for young filmmakers trying to make a lot out of very little. True, their movies are badly written and shot, are filled with stereotypes, and lack star power. But they knew their audience -- who were looking for a "good story", an inspirational message, and no swearing -- and built it into a multi-million dollar empire. VPL has few Kendrick films, but others such as Fireproof, Facing the Giants, Mum's Night Out, and the movie that started it all, Flywheel, should be available through other library systems.
